XIAOMI'S MIUI 9 At an event in Beijing, China, Xiaomi showed the new version of its custom user interface - MIUI 9. It is based on Android Nougat 7.0 and comes with three key features - Image search, Smart assistant, and Smart app launcher. The image search is something completely new for Xiaomi devices, but you’ve probably seen it in the Photos app by Google . You can search the images by keywords of what is in the picture. Words like “selfie”, “face” and “blue” will bring photos containing what you are searching for. The next feature is called Smart app launcher. It launches an app, based on screen contents. It can open Maps if you are talking about going somewhere or help you read more about an artist if you are reading an article on him. The third major improvement of MIUI 9 is the Smart assistant. It can find anything from photos to text. We would like to compare it with Google Assistant, but this will happen once the ROM roll

The Galaxy J7 NXT features 13MP Primary camera and 5MP Front camera and Android Nougat powered with 3000mAh Battery. The phone is currently available in India, where it carries a price tag of INR 11,490. Available color options include black and gold.

Reliance announces Jio Phone

Reliance announces Jio Phone Reliance has launched the Jio Phone, a low cost 4G feature phone for the masses. Feature phones are normally boring but what makes this one special is that it is basically free. The Jio Phone will be available to customers starting August 24. Customers will have to pay INR 1500 up front, which will be refunded after three years of using the phone when the phone is returned, essentially making it free. The cost of using the device is also rock bottom. As usual, local calls and SMS over Jio's 4G VoLTE network are completely free of cost. 4G data will cost INR 153 per month and will include 500 MB 4 GB data per day. Exceeding that will reduce the speed to 128 Kbps until it resets next day. Reliance has also provided a way to access the company's media streaming services. While the phone itself won't be able to handle these services directly, you can purchase an optional cable

ASUS ZenFone AR launched in India

ASUS ZenFone AR launched in India ASUS has launched the  ZenFoneAR  in India. The phone is priced at INR 49,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart . The ZenFone AR is the first phone in the world to have Google’s Tango AR technology and Daydream VR technology built-in. To enable Tango functionality, the phone has a triple camera system on the back, comprising of a 23 megapixel main camera, a depth sensor and a motion sensor.  The main camera captures the background and also takes pictures and videos, the depth sensor calculates the distance of the objects in the room and the motion sensor tracks the motion of objects in view. Huawei launches Honor 8 Pro in India Huawei has finally launched the  Honor 8 Pro  in India, almost three months after its international launch. The phone is priced at INR 29,999 and will be available exclusively on Amazon India . The Honor 8 Pro has a 5.7-inch QHD display, HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB expandable storage, dual 12 megapixel rear cameras, 8 megapixel front camera, 4000mAh battery, and Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1. The phone also comes inside a packaging that turns into a VR headset. The phone will be available through an open sale on July 13, 12:00 AM. For Amazon Prime customers , the phone will be available starting July 10 at 6:00PM.  There will also be offers on launch, including 0% EMI, 15% cashback for HDFC card holders, and 45GB 4G data from Vodafone for 5 months.

Samsung Galaxy ON Max As expected ,  A new Galaxy ON phone was unveiled yesterday .  The Galaxy ON Max was announced by Indian Online Retailer's Flipkart , but it turns out it's almost identical to the Galaxy J7 Max . Xiaomi releases a list of devices getting Nougat update Amazon.in Widgets Being in the Mi ecosystem of Android devices means forever having a question mark on when you are getting the next version of Android. For those out of the loop, almost all the Xiaomi devices on the market today are still on Android Marshmallow, an update released almost two years ago. The company has been promising the Nougat update for months now and today we finally have some confirmation on at least which devices will be getting the update. According to an image published by IT Home, some of the devices will be getting Android 7.0 and some will be getting Android 7.1. Why all aren't getting 7.1 directly, why some devices aren't listed and when will these updates actually roll out is still a mystery.
