HOW TO INCREASE NUMBER OF SIMULTANEOUS DOWNLOADS ON WINDOWS
HOW
TO INCREASE NUMBER OF SIMULTANEOUS DOWNLOADS ON WINDOWS
Whenever
you are downloading files the Internet, usually Windows puts a
restrictions on the number of simultaneous downloads from a web
server at any given point of time. This can be quite frustrating,
especially for people who download a lot of stuff from the Internet.
It is possible to change this limit and download as many files as you
want simultaneously from a server with the help of a simple Registry
Tweak:
STEP
1:
Open the Windows Registry.
STEP
2: Browse
to the following registry key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings
STEP
3:
In the right pane, create a new DWORD
value by right clicking on the right pane called
MaxConnectionsPerServer
and increase its value to anything (like 10) of your choice.
STEP
4:
In the right pane, create another DWORD
value called MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
and increase its value to anything of your choice
Now
you will be allowed to download more files simultaneously from a web
server at any given point of time. As simple as that
